Brian Gray & Will Carlson for Lime Key are unprofessional and dishonest. I am certain that most of these reviews are either paid or business associates doing a favor for the company. They correspond to professional matters about the home in unprofessional ways (via text after you call them to avoid speaking about pertinent issues). The home I rented with my two children was unsafe, poorly structured with the basement having mold & unsafe exposed electrical wiring, the vents were filthy and went uncleaned after several requests. They "hire" cheap contractors who do not complete the job thoroughly. Paul, one of the handy men for the company, is always unpleasant and impatient, making the tenant feel as if the issues with the home are the tenant's fault. Brain has been dodging me about my security deposit, and claims that there were a few serious things wrong with the home, when I kept it in great condition and always paid rent on time. They paint over the cracks in the walls, which makes the home look fresh, but over time, the home began to fall apart. My water bill was over 1,000 dollars due to several leaks and a water main break. The entire kitchen ceiling has leaks, and it was never repaired, so every time it rained, I has slippery floors. My children and I were exposed to unclean air, and they always had coughs because the main vent was near their room. Will, one of the managers, also attempted to involve himself in my personal affairs by contacting my boyfriend about scheduling maintenance dates, and then had the audacity to assume that my boyfriend was a tenant. Will passively tried to guilt me into having my boyfriend be put on the lease after I spoke to him (Will) about NOT contacting and scheduling things behind my back. Finally, after move-out, which is still happening right now, Brian has been avoiding my calls because they are trying to keep majority of my security deposit, claiming that the contractors have had to fix some serious concerns. They will try to tell you that you left the home in poor conditions, when in fact, the issues were already present before move-in. When you try to call the phone number listed on the site, they all go to one person. Another red flag. Beware of this fraudulent company. I own a home in another state, and I have work with property management companies- this is not the way. If you are a current tenant, or if you are looking to lease, be sure to document everything (pictures, emails, texts, and get all receipts & checklists upon move-in, move-out).
