Early August 2021, I arrived in Atlanta from Honolulu and I was visiting family. I lost a contact lenses on the flight. My vision is poor and I require a very strong prescription. I was desperate to get this resolved however past experience has taught me a prescription as strong as mine was never “in stock”. And getting a new lens would take several days and most likely a week or more. I was referred to Atlanta Vision Cataract and Laser Center and they made time for me to see the doctor that same morning. Doctor was awesome, he was professional, attentive, thorough, kind and empathetic. Once he had determined my prescription, he understood how important it was to me to have my contact lenses. What he didn’t know is I had a rental car, so with one lens in one eye and being legal blind without my contacts in the other, I still had a four hour drive ahead of me with one good eye! Due to the Doctor’s understanding of my situation, his persistence and resourcefulness I was able to have my prescription made the the next day in less than 24 hours. Which was nothing miracle in my opinion, at the very least far exceeded my expectations. I appreciate the Doctor going to such lengths for a new patient. And I appreciate his kind and supportive staff!! Aloha and Mahalo!

From Sara: Wow, where to begin. First, I called this morning to schedule a consultation for LASIK, and after about 4 minutes on the phone and a lot of fiddling around, the Front Office lady finally told me what the availability was. She was not very polite and didn’t seem at all interested in having me as a potential new patient. After all, customer care is everything, even in the medical industry. Then, when asking about a Groupon I saw for LASIK for their practice, she said “Don’t buy that, cause you’re going to be paying a whole lot more anyway.” Her exact words. When I proceeded to ask why, she stated that “that’s just for basic eyes and people whose vision isn’t that bad and they’re only using reading glasses” … again, which is BS. My mother had traditional lasik done two years back in Atlanta by an excellent doctor, and both she and I had astigmatisms in both eyes. She proceeded to say that the surgery is performed at Diamond Vision Center, which is a totally different office. This I know, because my husband is getting his PRK done this week at Diamond Vision. When asking about PRK, she proceeded to say “No, you can’t have PRK. That’s ONLY for people with very thin corneas” in which I then corrected her and said “I’m sorry, but that’s incorrect. We just had a consultation for my husband a few weeks back and he has plentyyyyy of corneal tissue, but we opted for PRK as it is the preferred treatment for military members. Needless to say, PRK is used on patients with thin corneas, but isn’t ONLY used on patients with thin corneas. Needless to say, I will be getting my LASIK/PRK done at Diamond Vision just like my husband. I work for a medical software and device company and we develop imaging systems, X-ray systems, software for great customer engagement. Sadly, Dr. Achiron lost out on my business due to his rude and uninformed Front Office Lady. I’d suggest better Practice Management Software so it doesn’t take ages to look up appointment availability, and also educating your staff on the basics on surgery and who/is not good candidates for each because there were many things she said that were flat out incorrect.

Top Mark's in each and every statistical category that could possibly be used for the measurement of positive experience speaking to, being seen by, or ANY other description of a customer service interaction that you can think of. Every member of the staff that I have had the pleasure of meeting with has been wonderful. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend these folk to anyone who needs anything pertaining to your eyes to come check them out.

Very disappointed in service and communication. I came in for a Lasik consultation and it was determined I was not eligible for Lasik, which is totally fine, but the Dr recommend special contacts and told they would use my insurance information to order for me. At the end of the appointment he stood at the reception desk, with me there, and told his office person to use my insurance to order my special contacts. He also said he would refer me to an eyelid specialist. I didn't receive the referral. I never got a call about the contacts. About a month later I called to follow up about the contacts and the person answering the phone had no idea what I was talking about. The contacts were never ordered and I would have to come in and pay for a separate consultation for the contacts. It would have been nice to have clearer communication. I've decided to go to another eye doctor that has better office hours and hopefully better communication. I feel like the office only cares about you if you are going to pay them to give you Lasik - very disappointing.
