A little overpriced but generally a great school. My son's instructor is kind, patient and knowledgable. He knows how to motivate my son and to get him excited about playing an instrument. It's definitely worth a try if you can spare the expense.

My 5yo just started beginner piano lessons at Highland Music Studio with Coleman this fall and we are beyond delighted with everyone and everything about this place! Communication and all scheduling is clear, fast, and very well-organized. Each lesson runs smoothly and provides a personalized approach for each learner. Im amazed at how much my kiddo has learned in such a short time and how engaged she is with everything! Most importantly, she loves it and feels good about the processshe looks forward to seeing Coleman every week too. Im so impressed with him, specifically, but have also seen the same consistent engagement and talent across all the teachers and students from the covid-safe waiting room too. This place is THE BEST place to take any kids starting lessons for any instrument, and has an incredible range of talented teachers for advanced lessons too. Such a supportive environment to learn to love music and to continue to advance!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons once a week at HMS since March, and we recently decided to add voice lessons to our schedule as well. The teachers all work very well with children and make learning any aspect of music a fun, enjoyable experience. The whole staff is very professional, responsive, and shares a passion for music that is evident every time I am in the building. My daughter gets excited about her lessons every week and is eager to show progress (something I think can be hard to get a 5 year old motivated about). We look forward to many more years with Highland Music Studio, and eventually enrolling our son as well.

My daughter has been having voice and piano lessons here for almost 2 months (once a week). I highly recommend this school of music for kids whole love music and want to grow their talents. The teachers are talented and excellent with kids. I enjoy reading their class notes after each class. I can see and hear my daughter are becoming musically more confident with her voice and piano. The admin is very responsive and helpful.
