Southern Comfort Movers

My initial consultation went great spoke with a very pleasant gentleman who was professional and represented company very well covering my logistics to move out of home. (Disclaimer read reviews BBB reviews rated an F, not an accredited business). I was told that my move may need to take 2 trips if truck wasnt big enough but that wouldn't be a problem because it was a 5 man team that would be fast and efficient and max an 8-9 hr job. They arrived in a rented uhaul, The initial crew that arrived had 5 people, 2 left for 2hr, then a 3rd a left for an hr leaving only 2 helpers for over 1hr. They were moving so slow and no direction that I began to instruct and request if they could help at least begin moving stuff down stairs. They also arrived 3hrs late, did not have adequate tools and material, used all of my tape up without permission, and did not clean up after themselves. I'm honestly afraid of what the items will look like after I have them remove from storage. An approx 4-5 hr job took 8hr and 45 min one trip, and could not fit all the items that needed to be removed. Even the workers that were there was constantly apologizing for the service they were delivering for the day, they knew this was not up to a professional moving standard. To make it worse logistically the driver that brought the workers disappeared and never showed back up leaving only 4 for majority of the move. They did not have any room in the moving truck, so they asked if one of the workers could ride with me to my storage to deliver my furniture. After inspecting my storage they did not pack well. For the items left in my home that didnt fit I had to rent an additional U-Haul on my own to remove. After reading reviews this seems to be a pattern and more of a hustle than a legit moving company. Very disappointed and will not recommend for future business.

We hired Southern Movers for a local move. They damaged several of my furniture and refused to complete the repairs. We paid almost $10,000 for our move and they have not been responding to my phone calls!

I needed a small moving job done last-minute and they fit me in. The movers were very quick, accommodating, and nice. That was my first moving experience and they made it so much easier for me! Highly recommend.

My wife and I recently decided to move and called around to get movers. She found this company to be helpful and they stayed open late so we could call just about any time and someone was available to speak with us. We kept date changing on our part but they were really flexible with moving it around to suit our needs. When the day came for them to help us move I found the guys (will, Terry and sixteen) to be diligent, quick and most importantly careful. They weren't throwing my stuff around haphazardly but we're being delicate and efficient. Also the price was really on point! The guys downright amazing!
