Great work but, not consistent maintenance

Eric and his crew were great about keeping my lawn looking well maintained. They did a great job trimming my bushes and trees and were quick and efficient. Would highly recommend their services.

My husband and I were looking for someone to handle a large yard project for us. My friend saw the Sweet Rose lawn care truck and forwarded me a picture. I called the number and requested that the company comes to give an estimate. That was done the same day and an estimate was sent via text. I accepted the estimated cost and requested for the work to be done asap. There was a plan for work to begin two days later. Work actually began the following evening. Before being done for the day, the owner, Eric Jackson, approached my husband and said that he had under estimated the job and wanted double the amount quoted for the same work that was included in the estimate. Upon assessment, my husband and I agreed that it was fair. Work continued for the second day starting around 11 am. At around d 6:30pm, I was informed that Eric and his crew was completely down with the job. Upon inspection, after having to correct several things throughout the day, the job was incomplete and there was a severe lack of attention to detail for the things that had been done. I must say, the amount of work that was done was worth the money and I was pleased with the progress, however, an incomplete job that was poorly done is still very upsetting. None of the grass and weeds, that were supposedly sprayed, have yet to die. Several areas that were suposed to be cut down weren't. No edging had been done at all. The debris that was supposed to be moved by the company was still here, yet, my husband still extended an offer for ongoing maintenance of the yard in an attempt to have the work completed and avoid having to have someone different come out. We are very understanding and we know that the work that we need was extensive. A contract is a contract and the company did not uphold their end of the bargain, even though price was negotiated in their favor without any pushback. In light of work not being completed or done properly by Sweet Rose Lawn Care, Inc., I would not recommend this company for a job. Small, black business owners often complain that they get less support from the black community...poor quality of work and lack of professionalism is a main reason why. Don't expect people to pay for less than acceptable services or products.
