This company took over a group of hotels in Islamorada, FL, hotels which I used to enjoy, and have completely destroyed their reputation. They are running everything on the cheap and it shows. No staff, filthy and run down buildings, and no accountability. Typical real estate company masquerading as a hotel management firm.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Lorien in Alexandria VA which was sold to this Company between the time of our booking and our stays.
I Dont recommend staying at the Lorien. They are no longer part of Kimpton and didnt notify us prior to check-in. Our reservation and reminder email were sent from Kimpton, but when we tried to use Kimpton gift cards they told us they were bought by someone else and would no longer accept Kimpton gift cards. If thats the case why werent we notified and why is it that all of our online confirmations say Kimpton?
They used Kimptons name and reputation to mislead us into thinking our stay was still with that brand.
On top of that, we didnt even have hot water in our room (room 203), which apparently is a known issue (see other recent reviews). Further, after multiple requests, we havent been provided with a copy (digital or paper) of our bill.
We were really disappointed in the quality of service and room standards. After staying here many times in the past, they simply no longer live up to the high standards that brought us back. Responses from the front desk have been less than helpful, and the promised follow up from a manager hasnt happened.
