image I was in the salon 6 hours on March 8. I went in for full highlights and a cut. Although I repeatedly asked the student to be sure to get the foils as close as possible to the scalp, many of them were about an inch off, leaving a messy, uneven look. My hair was then treated with a toner that made my hair look a dull, brownish color. I declined to get the cut because of the time already spent there and my lack of confidence in the trainee, realizing that she too was exhausted.
I was offered a redo of foils right along the part line but that will not fix the problem throughout the rest of my hair. My call to the local manager today has not been returned. Neither were emails to the owner/director of the salon or the head of the school.
P.S. They do not keep accurate records of prior visits, products used etc., requiring you to repeat the same instructions every visit (for what theyre worth).
P.P.S. I returned for a re-do of my highlights and also to get a hair cut. These highlights came out much better so I ended up with a very acceptable partial job. (I previously paid for full highlights but didnt push the point.) The cut came out just fine, though would have preferred more layering and a blowout that created movement, as requested. One of the head instructors, Carrie, checked on us once or twice but the assigned educator introduced herself and then never returned until the very end. Once again, the student was very sweet and polite. She worked hard to improve the outcome!

image Had an appt with Twin (I forgot her educator's name but she was equally as amazing) and I absolutely loved it!! My hair came out so beautiful, and they really took the time to listen to what I wanted and make the vision a reality. Also, I love the support that the students give each other, it really is a supporting and inspiring community at Aveda! I've stayed loyal to Aveda for 12 years, and this last visit proved to me why I love Aveda!

image i have been coming once a month for years and 95% of my cuts and color have been perfect. only downfall is you develop a relationship with your stylist and then they graduate - they do recommend a great stylist to continue with but some are hard to forget. highly recommend Aveda and for you first timers ask for a stylist in station 2 or above. they have been there the longest.

image Great place great haircut. Ive always been happy with all the services I got there particularly hair coloring and haircut. There was a lot of attention to detail and listening about what the client wants. Theres fun shopping in there too and special events that Aveda has throughout the year when I was there they were doing breast, cancer awareness month, and Selling tinsel for hair to benefit that cause .
