Having been in healthcare for 25 years this is not how you treat patients. I understand busy and trauma level. We were brought in by ambulance for a true emergency. Vomiting blood, no platelets. Severe abdominal neutropenic infection. Left for hours, no orders put in for hours. They seemed like we were a nuisance. Said they werent sure how to do platelets or what kind we needed? So it may be tomorrow before we get them. Seriously?!?! We asked for transport to Emory and couldnt have been happier to leave that place. Id definitely avoid this ER!

I went to the ER on 2/19/24 after my obgyn told me to go since I had disturbing symptoms that required immediate imaging. Dr. Sewell was dismissive and overlooked multiple fainting episodes, complaints of chest pain, and shortness of breath. I was put on a bed in the hallway and was in the ER for over 6 hours. I was never given fluids, an EKG, or put on a heart monitor even after fainting twice. Dr. Sewell ignored my obgyn's recommendations and test results and claims to have done tests he never did, which I can see in myChart. He also ignored my past medical history documenting my hemiplegic migraines and put "psychiatric problems" as the reason behind those symptoms. I literally wasted a day of my life in this ER and left worse than when I got there. I eventually got back in with an obgyn the next day and was properly diagnosed and given medications for what I was experiencing, so if you can wait to see a doctor I would recommend doing so because you probably won't be treated seriously here.

Incredible staff, great experience. My son had his gall bladder removed and every person we interacted with at this hospital gets an A+

this place needs to be shut down. Honestly the worst hospital that i have ever dealt with. i was brought into the trauma ER in November with multiple life threatening and almost paralyzing cervical spine compression fractures after falling 13ft out of a tree and landing on my neck & back. the paramedics were AMAZING.but once i woke up, after administering multiple shots of fentanyl and morphine and benzos, they told my parents to go get my stuff from home because i was going to be admitted. after shift change i woke up and the nurse asked me to try and walk on my own (when i couldnt even walk on my own at home for 6 days after my admittance). on top of that, i live in los angeles and was in town for my grandfathers funeral and they tried kicking me out two hours after my parents left and they had given me more morphine. if you have any choice, DO NOT GO HERE.
