River Club

Do not expect a “professional cleaning” as they call it when you move in. BYOB as in, bring your own BLEACH because there will be mystery stains and cockroaches. However, this is not my biggest issue. I don’t mind cleaning up and making my apartment a home, but the management is terrible. They are very condescending, unaccommodating, and definitely talk down to you. All this being said, the facility is decent, and it is what YOU make it. Don’t depend on the staff/management and you’ll be fine :)

I’m not sure how this happened but I explained my horrible experience with the River Club Apartments and now it is no longer here. I will re-explain the experience so individuals who are interested in living here know what to expect. If my explanation disappears again, I will be more than happy to re-explain it as many times as needed. When I first moved into my apartment, it was extremely dirty. The couches and beds were full of animal fur. It was clear that the apartment had not been cleaned before my roommate and I were moved in there. On top of the couches and beds being filthy, my roommate and I also noticed little red bumps on us. We later discovered the River Club allowed us to move into a flea infested apartment. As mention before , it was clear the prior residents were not very clean, and the River Club did not even clean the apartment before moving someone in there. The kitchen has a huge roach problem.The appliances were very old , and soon stopped working. Management did solve most of the issues we faced, and they sent out pest control every time I requested it. The main takeaway is, if anyone is considering living here please just make sure that the apartment is actually cleaned thoroughly before you move in there, and that the appliances actually work.

**DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!** Very RUDE & unprofessional. Told me & my middle school/elementary cousins we would be barred for the pool for 2 years, NOT KNOWING my sister lives on this property😉 Was extremely rude to other guests as well!!

The black security guy , got in my sisters face and she felt very afraid we thought he was going to harm her ,and and they have bed bugs I would not recommend

Lived here my senior year in 2019-2020. We did have the problem with a mouse but maintenance took care of it immediately and patch the hole found in my closet door and never had the problem again. Other than that the apartments are very clean. Be aware that Maintenance comes in constantly to check on everything ALOT. was kind of annoying always barging in constantly. One time I was in the shower and didn’t hear them knocking on my door and the lady almost walked in on me. Keep in mind my bedroom door was locked so that means don’t come in obviously. But besides that the only other problem I had was with transportation. I would only live here if you have a car. Relying on Athens transit was terrible especially if you have mornings classes the bus stop was all the way at the front entrance of the neighborhood and it Never came on time and always left early. Management was very professional and took care of all my problems.
