They were awesome with me they explained home insurance the difference between them. I am from Chicago so we don't have hurricanes and alot of issues that we have in Florida. Super nice people I trust them with my home policy for sure. The agent that went threw things with me was Stephanie she was wonderful. The owner was there and he is very nice and I was impressed with all his water skies he is a great water skier and knows alot of history about Winter Haven.

Horrible customer service to my company. Ashley hung up in the middle of both co workers of mine when they were having a conversation, and all around rude to them.

Was a customer for 13 years thru this agency for Universal Property & Casualty .Had my first claim June 2020 because of storm surge damaged my attached patio.Took 2 weeks to get an appraiser to look at it and then I could not get anybody to call me back. Dershimer agency would not not even return my call (Dave or the Supervisor) even as I continued my policy payments. No contact for 90 days then  on the 100th day after I called my Dershimer rep, she told me my claim was denied and emailed a copy of a denial letter dated 8/10/2020 that I never received.Funny how nobody would follow up with me on this or try to keep me up to date. VERY unprofessional as a business. I even asked several times to have Dave Dershimer personally return my call but that never happened.Do not do business with Universal Property & Casualty Insurance or Dershimer Insurance Agency.  Keith Smith
