I found Alan Symonette through a department store reference, and worked with him on multiple projects for my house, never had to regret a single minute. He knows and loves what he is doing, always eager to explain how and why, and does not shy away from a small job, even an odd job - such as fitting in an "experimental" (test release, so to speak) custom-size sliding door for which a vendor did not supply install guide, some parts did not match, and target location was out of proportions and levels at all sides and directions. He has to drive for an hour to my location, but he does that when need arises, and he did come even on the weekend a few times when there was no other mutually convenient time - this speaks volumes about character and attitude, if you ask me. So far he did 3 sets of doors for me (every time with a different challenge) along with soffit exhaust install, some wall work and plumbing work, and going to do more. And every time I see again and again how he takes pride in his job and always comes equipped to the top, keeping even builders' reference books handy, so I never had doubts about following the code and quality standards. What I also noticed with Alan is that he always cleans the work site after he is done. From my experience, not everyone in construction do this, so this gives me yet another reason to believe Alan takes pride in his work and takes things very seriously. He is also great fun to talk to. Overall, my experience with Alan Symonette is 100% positive, and I struggle to imagine what could happen "in real life" between him and the folks who wrote these negative reviews. My guess is there was a mis- communication, or someone just had a bad day, just because we are all humans?.... Personally, I am going to call Alan for work again and again when I need a quality person to do a quality job.

Allen is an excellent handyman, high quality craftsmanship, I reasonable prices. I have used him on several occasions for various projects throughout my house and never disappoints

Alan Symonette was simply amazing, punctual, totally knows his field of carpentry, goes the extra mile and was absolutely reasonably priced! He came a long way down south for a small job that others turned down and worked as if it were a million dollar job. His work ethic is extremely high and the man does not have a dishonest bone in his body! I highly recommend him for any carpentry related job you have, no matter how big or small!

I strongly recommend Symonette Carpentry for your next home project. Alan came highly recommend by Home Depot in Coral Springs, Florida. Alan installed four dead bolt locks and completed the project very professionally and in a timely manner. He has great customer service skills and years of know how. He called the evening before to confirm the appointment and sent a text message while in route to my house. He is very reliable, prompt, pleasant to work with, honest, and professional. When unforeseen issues arise, he handles them and keeps the customer informed. His attention to detail is amazing. He is knowledgeable and offers fair rates.
