Yellow Mango Restaurant & Lounge

What a complete and utter disappointment. I read the reviews here and thought I'd take a chance. I had wanted the Korean Steak after seeing the picture on Yelp and their website. I'm not sure what happened this time around vs 10 months ago. The steak and veggies had an okay flavor, even though the steak was over cooked. It wasn't inedible, but it certainly wasn't what was advertised nor what I expected. I asked for it to be medium rare. The fried rice was awful. No flavor at all. I'm not even sure what it was supposed to be, but it certainly didn't taste at all like fried rice. I had to put some salt on it to attempt to eat it. I ended up  throwing most of the meal out because it was so tasteless and disappointing. The appetizer was a joke. I ordered Bruschetta. See the attached picture from their online menu. Then see what I got. I was served some toasted bread drowning in pesto (I think...notice the green color), along with balsamic glaze. There were a few pieces of poorly cut up cheese (not mozzarella!!) tossed on top. I'm not even sure what kind of cheese it was. There were also NO cherry tomatoes in sight!  I'm not sure what the sauce in the small round container was supposed to be. I imagine some sort of tomato salsa, but I think it was maybe a mango salsa?  I just wasn't sure, but it tasted fruity. The whole thing was so pathetic!I highly suggest you get your act together if you're going to advertise that you serve food. What I received was a poor excuse for what you advertise on your menu and website. If you're a nightclub, don't try to serve these types of meals if you're NOT going to be consistent. You're only going to turn away customers who could have been long-term customers. I will not be returning. I can't even imagine it could get better, and it certainly wasn't AT ALL worth the $50 I paid for it!

I came here with a friend, there was an Arabic event on a weekend. I think this place is just okay. The music was ridiculously LOUD! i mean I understand its an event but it was over and it was not great. Food was alright. Had the rice and the shrimp, pricy for what you get but taste was just okay. There is plenty of parking. The server was great however.  for the events they hold, its $20 per person and there is already gratuity included. Not sure if its the same in the weekday or non event days.

Bar tenders did not speak English, and they did not know how to make a single mixed drink. They were also out of a lot of common ingredients such as Red Bull. Food was mediocre and dj stopped between almost every song.

Do not recommend and will not be back. We came here for brunch- a group of 12. Place opens at 11, we arrived at 1115 hearing that it gets packed. No one was there but a 4 top. The place def looks like a club and not a restaurant. The tables were still dirty and had to request them to be wiped down. The brunch menu was on a 4x6 card sitting on the table that you normally would see just the specials on that. Very small print and diff menu then what's online. We ordered drinks which were simple- mimosas and Bellinis. After an hour of waiting- we decided to walk out and try another spot. They came and apologized stated that they were short staffed. But considering we were the only other table, no reason even if you only had one person it should take an hour to make simple drinks. I can only imagine how bad the food would of been if we stayed.

This was an interesting location for brunch as normally it's a club with a dance floor and stage. So the seating is around the dance floor and the saxophone player was great. The food came out fast and they have a new ownership that is trying out the brunch options. The my actually poached the eggs for me but they were a bit under cooked and the shrimp grits were tasty but cold so we had to have them reheated. It was nice to have the saxophone player play a couple of songs while we were there but the setting felt off sitting there watching other at the bar drinking and using a hookah.
