They cut down a large oak on a property behind mine smashing my fence and the neighbors after a week they have not fixed our fences. I have called 3 times and nothing has been done. Very careless and unprofessional

My impression of Miller and Sons Tree Service and their professionalism is extremely poor. Over the past week I experienced the company, not as a direct customer, but as person directly impacted by their questionable actions and poor behavior operating insensitively in a sensitive environment--a established neighborhood. Miller and Sons descended upon the center of our fair neighborhood in Tampa Bay, spending the better part of 3 days literally "strip mining" two adjoining lots of it's towering 100 year old Oaks. With each fall of a tree the workers hooted, hollered and laughed--and I do not embellish. After all trees were felled, the company proceeded to open-pit excavate booth lots with heavy duty, and extremely noisy, equipment. Massive oak tree root balls were dug out and repeatedly slammed to the ground--each time jarring the foundations of the surrounding homes. It's wasn't clear as to why this was remotely necessary. Ultimately, I fully understand that properties must be cleared of any vegetation that may impede planned construction--and of course property owners have every right to proceed with tree removal services. At question here is the way a hired tree removal company goes about conducting their operations. From the perspective of those that must endure their presence, Miller and Sons was in no way professional. There was no advanced warning for the neighborhood, no concern--at all--as to the impact to the people and homes directly surrounding them. No consideration as to noise, ground vibration level, or worker belligerence. They conducted themselves as if they were in the middle of a deep forest with no one around. If this is how Miller and Sons goes about their work on a regular basis. Look out Tampa Bay! As we later found out, Miller and Sons also operated against city direction which required that the Live Oak on the property be spared--this direction was not followed.

Initial Consultation/First Contact with the company with Sales Manager-Jason: 5 out 5. Why? He walked around our property with us and thoroughly examined our sick trees, 50 foot trees, and everything in between. He explained his company policies. Answered our many questions. Asked us questions regarding our HOA rules. No sales pressure, friendly and professional. For Homeowners: Bottom Line—Not the cheapest quote but the best overall because of our needs and our situation. -this company was one of the few that not only has insurance, bonded and workmans Comp! Why is this important? Well..if man uses chainsaw and gets hurt, workman’s comp takes care of him not you the homeowner! This is valuable! Does this affect your quote for the job? Of course! But..ever heard ‘get what you paid for?’ I have. I don’t want to pay for man falling out of bucket at 50 feet with chainsaw in his hand, lopping his and his teammates limbs off on the way down. This is bad for everyone. -Be honest with yourself about needs/wants. The time of year your of your request (e.g. hurricane season). Time allotted for the job, the equipment required for the job, and safety. These factors matter with regards to cost. **If you can be around for the whole job, do so. Questions will pop up and the team is extremely communicative about providing options with the negatives and positives. If you aren’t available, how can they talk to you? They can’t read minds. This is truly a homeowner/arborist interactive job. No one job is the same. The Arborist Team: ‘worked hard’ would be an understatement. 4 men, two trucks, wood chipper and cherry picker. This is another reason we picked them. Proper equipment! Which also means not always the cheapest but also efficient and safe!! Means to do a proper clean up. -They were methodical in their approach to trimming and cutting down some difficult 50 foot trees and limbs. You could tell they approached each tree (problem) with safety in mind. They showed up prepared to work hard and clean up their mess even after a 8 hour day. -They dealt with difficult obstacles and parameters with thoughtfulness, professionalism and ease! They were careful about tearing up our yard with the equipment, careful not to hit our well, thoughtful about where large branches fell especially near our birdcage. Closing the day: Jason the sales manager made sure we were satisfied. He called us and wanted feedback. Great customer service and obviously cares about quality of the service provided to the client. The arborist team did a fine job projecting what I suspect Miller & Sons expect from their staff. Take care of the Staff and they take care of the company!

Jonathan and crew were proactive, professional and precise on the large oak tree that was impeding on my clients residence in Carrollwood. The neighbors were also impressed with their work and have mentioned the company to others in the area. Thank you!
