Erdem Koca makes guitars that are well above and beyond anything you can purchase for the same price. He will show you all kinds of beautiful woods for the guitar of your dreams. Also be willing to trust his judgement on what works for a guitar. While I picked the top, I let him finish it in what color was best for the wood. I would have never been able to pick out the amazing finish he chose for my guitar. He also listens to what you request. I asked for a specific set of locking tuners, and ordered exactly what I wanted and installed them. So many times in the past, I asked builders for something and they put something cheaper to save a buck and not really what I wanted. It's a small thing in the grand scheme of a custom build, but it's that kind of attention to detail that sets him apart.
