This company is full of individuals who have no idea what they are doing. If you have a choice RUN, DON'T WALK from this company!! I have damage to my home from Ian. Apparently, Newrez is required to endorse the insurance checks. Instead of working with me and the insurance company to get the asset repaired asap and back to the original condition, they continue to hold the insurance checks hostage. The insurance adjuster has provided Newrez with the claim information and called Newrez not less than 10 times to get tem to release the insurance payments issued. In lieu of signing the insurance checks, they continue to send them back, unendorsed. The initial set of checks from the insurance claim were so old that the insurance company had to reissue them. I am not sure how it is legal for a mortgage company to hold the insurance checks hostage, especially when they have been provided all of the information on MANY occasions. When you call, they confirm they have what they need. I even received confirmation in writing to send the checks back AGAIN as they have what they need. Same result... NO ENDORSEMENT on the checks. Regardless of what they say or write, the result has been the same - mailing the unendorsed payments back. If you know of a way to file a complaint against this company's licensing, please let me know. I am trying to protect my home only to hit a wall each time that I contact Newrez. If this is not criminal, it should be and I am beyond frustrated and exhausted trying to work with their representatives. I do not understand how they can still be in business. It's a shame that they allow this company to purchase mortgages.

These bandits recently purchased my loan . I have been charged late payment fees on my load for the last 3 months . My payment was credited from my bank prior to the due date all 3 months. They don't accept electronic transfers from banks (online checking), so process those payments weeks early to avoid getting late fees .. maybe a month early, as weeks early apparently still isn't early enough. Something really wrong with this company. I may need to refinance just to get away from this outfit .. BUYERS BEWARE !!!
