Family Medical Center Tampa Bay

Had been a patient at Family Medical Center (Dr. Iezzi's office) since the 90's when they were in the blue building further north on Florida Ave. When Covid hit, I had an appointment scheduled for early April 2020. It was solely to review some routine labs that both I and the physician (not Iezzi) had already reviewed individually and were within normal limits. When I expressed hesitation and reluctance to coming in as a patient with underlying health conditions (mind you this was before vaccinations, masks, tele-health, etc), I was basically told that I had no choice. Because I did not feel comfortable, I cancelled the appointment well within their guidelines, and later received a certified letter stating that I was no longer welcome as a patient at their office because I was non-compliant. I called multiple times trying to understand the situation, even reaching out to Advent, who took over management of the practice at some point, with no response. I had been advised by many to consult with legal counsel, but didn't feel it was worth my time. Honestly, I agree with the other reviews that service has gone downhill in recent decades. At my last appointment, I sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. When I went to see when I might be called, the older lady at the front desk admitted that they had forgotten about me. Despite the profuse apologies from all staff, this is simply unacceptable.

I have been going to Dr. Demetriou for years and have been going to this facility before him forever. I love the location, staff and trust Dr. Demetriou with my health. I would recommend this Dr office to anyone.

I've been a patient for 18 years. The doctors and staff are top notch. I have full faith in their care. In cases requiring a specialist they have referred me some some of the best in the bay.

I waited for two hours. I will not be coming back. When I called to make my appointment the receptionist was rude and didn't even write down my second insurance that I gave her. I called about clearing up my acne completely and the receptionist suggested proactive. I think it was very unprofessional for her to suggest anything at all. So i came in and the front desk person was not prepare for my appointment because my secondary insurance was not written down. My appointment was at 1030. I got here at 940 to do any necessary paperwork. I would not recommend coming here

Made an appt as a new patient. I have insurance and gave them all of that info over the phone before my appt. New to the area hence the new patient status and Google maps sent me 10 min out of my way. I cut my leg walking into the office on one of their landscaping bushes that had a dead stick hanging out of it and have blood running down my leg and they tell me since I'm there at 3:12 for my 3:30 appt I have to reschedule. BEYOND PISSED!! I had 18 min BEFORE my appt to do the new patient paperwork. Guess who is not ever going to be a new patient there and win a prize.
