Only come here if you have a few hours to kill observing bureaucratic incompetence.

For three years I had a primary care provider at James Haley do absolutely nothing for me. This person would turn the computer monitor around and heckle me about my weight. They accused me of lying when I went in for help for my service connected disabilities. This person refused me allergy testing unless I got rid of my cats (I've never been allergic to cats or any animals). My conditions grew worse and I begged for help but they didn't care. Now I can no longer work because my nerve damage is so bad from the lack of help that I have chronic pain migraines and problems walking etc. Thankfully this primary retired, but many veterans such as myself continue to suffer without adequate care. I have since moved, had a wonderful doctor, yet they left and now back to square one. I used to get an appointment within a week or less now it's a month if I'm lucky and specialty clinics forget it, you'll wait several months to a year. Community care is a pain with them and their gynecologist is rude and lazy. I requested her to do a hysterectomy as I've been suffering for years but she gave me the cold shoulder and every poor excuse in the book as to why she's too lazy to do that. Plus, I felt she discriminated me.

I am a 100% disabled veteran and have been using James A. Hailey for three years. During that period of time I have had several surgeries, been admitted more times than I can count, suffered through Covid and I am on more med's than I want to think about. But guess what? Through all of this, I have received nothing but the absolute best care possible from everybody there. The Doctors, Nurses, Tech's etcetera have been spectacular! I get calls at home checking on me, home health visits and more. I could not ask for more. For those of you complaining on this site and giving a one star rating, did you ever stop and think that the problem might be you? Even though I am rated at 100%, I still carry my own insurance. I love this place.

I'm a former house keeper that was heckled through out the hospital by the VA Police and told by VA nurses I should be in the bathroom cleaning, the VA Police called me a clown , I no longer felt safe in the James A. Haley VA Hospital, and moved back to Nevada. It was disgraceful, racist and a hostile place to receive my medical treatment for diabetes and PTSD.
