This place would not have been a good place to stay without the likes of the two front desk people who made my stay here pleasant. When I first arrived, Santiago showed me several rooms and allowed to me to choose one. I did not have many choices on motels to stay in as I was travelling by foot. I settled for a room upstairs in the secured building rather than outside. The price was about right for what you get. $50 allows you to stay one night.Though the room I chose was horrible, it was better than others that I had seen. One in the front by the vending machines had a large hole in the wall near the ceiling which made me a little worried that something might crawl through it. Another smelled strongly of smoke, which I hate. I spent most of my time in the lobby and Santiago initiated conversation with me, which really helped to make the time pass by. He was very friendly and very helpful. Just himself alone adds a star to this place. The room that I settled on, because there were no other rooms that were any better, was something directly out of a horror movie. When I turned the shower faucet on, red water ran from it, which looked like bloody water! I had to wait approximately 10 minutes to get any hot water. When the toilet was flushed, it leaked a bit. There were bleach stains in multiple spots on the carpet. The carpet had many crumbs on it. There was a cigarette burn on the countertop. When I opened the window, a bunch of bugs flew in. I had to scramble around to kill all of them. Each towel that I was provided (there were three towels) had a curly black hair weaved through it (looked like a pubic or armpit hair). It simply grossed me out.Later in the evening, after going out for dinner, a lady named Selreena was working. I just needed a place to stay a single night as my flight was first thing in the morning. I was avoiding my room by staying in the lobby. She initiated conversation and was very friendly. We talked about all sorts of things and it is only because of her that this place got another star. After a long night, I checked out and left in good spirits before daybreak. I would not recommend this place, unless you want good company from genuinely friendly and nice people. If you really need a room, this place does supply a roof over your head, but it is a bit run down.#Yelp 365 - 31/365

Awful place. Had a really bad experience back over summer '09. Don't let the kind of ok lobby fool you. This place is a dump!

This is your best value if you are staying in Tallahassee for a short period of time. Rooms are clean, beds comfy, and its just a short walk to Buffalo Wild Wings and AJ's Sports if you want night life. Great value, good location.

My friend and I drove up to Tallahassee the day before the Big USF game and finding somewhere to stay was next to impossible, but this place fortunately had some lodging available for us. The service was great, the receptionist was quick to help us get our room and the room was suitable for our use until the game started the next morning. The pricing wasn't that bad either considering all hotels in Tally normally jack up prices around football games.
