EDIT: I am revising my rating back to five stars because I spoke to the manager a couple days after this incident. A new owner had bought the place and put up a sign that I noticed the second time I went that said they'd be closed to change out the stock. The owner is a wonderful man who knows ice cream and I'm pretty sure keeps the hours the same now that he's fully in charge! While I wish I could give this place five stars, I simply cannot. It irks me when places close up over a half hour early. The first time we came here it was an hour before closing on a Saturday. The place was empty, the young man working was friendly and personable, the ice cream was fantastic! We all had a tough time choosing our flavors because they were all so good. This first experience was awesome, definitely five stars. Tonight was our second visit. We are moving out of state tomorrow so we went for one last time. Only the store was pitch black already at 8:30pm and it was evident they had closed up very early. This always drives me so crazy. If you post hours until a specific time, stay open until that specific time! Don't close up early because there's no one there currently so that means no one else is coming. Bottom line, the ice cream here is fabulous and well worth the higher price tag. Just be sure to go with at least an hour left until close, if not more, just to be sure they don't close up early on you!
