Quest Diagnostics - Closed

Despite encountering friendly staff and a reasonable walk-in wait time at Quest Diagnostics, I found their turnaround time for test results to be inadequate. It has been five days since my visit, and my doctor has still not received the results. This extended waiting period is notable when compared to other labs I have previously used, where results were typically available within 24 hours or less. Moreover, my doctor's office informed me that it can take up to two weeks to receive results from Quest. If timeliness is important to you, it might be worth considering an alternative company.

Ive had great experiences at other Quest locations so I wish I had read the reviews on this one first. The person I interacted with while getting my 7 month pregnancy labs was rude, short and very uncaring. She had an attitude the whole time and had no issue voicing it. She further actually caused pain to me when she stuck the needle, which has never happened to me while getting blood drawn, and then when I started getting wigged out by the amount of blood being removed, she yanked the needle out of my arm and said well youll have to tell your doctor you couldnt complete the test. I walked out because honestly I would rather redo it at a later time than be treated like that even though I very well could have let her take more. I have never been treated so poorly at any clinical location, and that really shouldnt be how anyone is treated, let alone a pregnant woman.

Don't use Quest unless you DO NOT USE Bahia Vista.They appear to be short of staff and have attitude. Their system requires you to sign in even if you have already been there and are returning samples, so you end up, without having an appointment, because you were not told to make another appointment, you were told to just drop the samples off at your convenience, nothing about signing for them. Also I received materials for sample testing with NO INSTRUCTIONS but quick verbal ones for a rather complicated fecal collection process, so I had to use an online video to even know how to use the collecting tub. Employees are terse and unhelpful. The location is old, the building is up for sale, the employees I encountered were not friendly in the least and seemed very "put upon.The location on Shade in Sarasota may be better, but I'd suggest finding another company.
