Air Command Air Conditioning and Heating

Our AC went out last month, I noticed it when I got home from work that night. No AC in July? Not comfortable at all, it was like 90 degrees in our house. I was dying, the dogs were dying. It was unbearable. I called Air Command and was pleasantly surprised when someone answered the phone (I was expecting to leave a voicemail). The gentleman I talked to told me he would contact the after hours tech and call me right back with a time estimate of when someone could come. He called back quickly and let me know that someone would be out within 30 minutes! Ryan, the technician that came out was amazing. He was friendly and professional and went above and beyond to help us out. Unfortunately, the issue with our AC could not be fixed until the next day when they could order the part (fried circuit board) but Ryan did his best to make sure we would be comfortable in our home that night. He could have just said tough luck and been on his way, but he went back to his shop twice to try and get us fixed. It was very much appreciated. We had to call a couple of weeks ago because the AC went out again- totally separate issue and unfortunate circumstances...older AC unit, can't be helped. The tech that came out, James was prompt and professional and got us back up and running in about an hour. Amazing service! I thought their prices were fair for the service that we received. I haven't used any other companies in the area so I don't have anyone to compare to, but I will not be using anyone else. I have been recommending them to anyone that asks. I believe my sister had an issue at their rental last Saturday and Air Command came out and fixed their issue within two hours of her call. If you need prompt and professional service, give them a call!

My husband and I knew we needed a new handler and pump but, due to cost, put replacing them off as long as possible. Unfortunately, the day came when we no longer had a choice. We had worked with other companies in the area but decided to try someone new so we called Air Command, and we are very pleased that we did. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous, and we were given several different system options along with the option prices. We are thrilled with our new system and we would absolutely recommend Air Command to anyone looking for AC service/replacement.

Dont use this service. First their tech told us we had a bad txv valve and I asked the cost of the part and repair and the tech had no idea. Then I looked it up online and found a price but the tech said he will get back to me. So over a week later they come back out after two phone calls and the repair order just said "repair - *dollar amount* and wouldnt tell me the price of the part knowing I knew the real cost. Then the problem wasted fixed. It took over another week to get a tech out just to tell us it wasnt that and probably something else and he doesnt know anything really so he will send out some master tech manager guy. Now another week or so goes by with no answer or return call. Then they tell us they will be here 7/24 and I took off work only to get a call saying they cant make it. So again today I managed to get off an hour early to meet them for our 4pm appointment and I admit I got here at 4:11 but a note was left saying they were here at 2:50 and to call back monday to reschedule. And this company is 24 hour service? I have to wait till monday? These people are ass backwards and dont know what they are doing. When it comes to important home repairs like AC dont cheap out and go with a pro. Pay the money. We learned that lesson.

A few weeks ago, about 4 o'clock on a very hot Saturday afternoon, we realized that our AC was having problems and blowing only hot air. We called Air Command and received a call back from their on-call technician about 5 minutes later. He then came out to the house within the hour and did all he could to fix our system enough to get us through the weekend. After speaking with the owner, Ken, first thing Monday morning, a technician was our at the house replacing our system before noon the same day. We have been loyal customers of Air Command for the last few years and have found the owners and employees to be very helpful, professional and trustworthy. We would definitely recommend this business to anyone needing AC or heating help in the Tampa Bay area.

We recently had a new system installed... we got 3 estimates. Air Command was the only one that sent a true technician to produce the bid, the rest sent a sales person who spent more time going over literature than inspecting our system. While the others were busy selling us "high end systems", Air Command thoroughly inspected our system and went over the issues. Turns out, we really needed a lot of duct repair in addition to a new system. Air Command showed us why for the same price as the 20+ SEER system, we could get a 16 SEER system and the duct repairs. They also took the time to explain that the additional expense of the 20+ system would never pay for itself.... We're up and running and very happy.... Oh, they filed all the paperwork for my progress rebate too...
