They gave us an uncleaned room. The second room we were given, the beds were not clean. The room had a bad smell.

To qualify myself.... I'm a Diamond member with Choice Hotels. I spend over $15K annually on hotels. Like all east coast businesses, Econo Lodge in St. Augustine, FL, ripped me o.ff. I should have known when I walked up to the front door. Lights off, all closed with a note to go the hotel next door to check in. Some dive called, "Zen Hotel". They ripped me off for $25 which I didn't find out until I got the CC bill. I called, they claimed it was a security deposit which would be refunded to my account shortly. LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't stay there. Bunch of thieves

Definitely do not visit this hotel. I had to stop here due to a towing issue with my uhaul. I booked through Snaptravel and when I was looking for my room I noticed a bunch of beds by the dumpster. I should have left then. Poor choice on my part. The room definitely needs a deep cleaning and something bit me while I was laying down which I assume to be a bed bug. I left in the middle of the night and thankfully they did reimburse me the next day, however they need to close down and fumigate before accepting any guests.
