United MedTrans Long Distance Medical Transportation

Please do not use United MedTrans. Avoid the nightmare that we endured. We contracted with this company to transport my mother from a hospital in AR to FL in Aug 2022. She’d recently underwent surgery and was in an extremely fragile state and unable to walk or care for herself. Once she was discharged from the hospital into their care, our nightmare began. The transport crew stated that they had to “stop at Home Depot to buy fans” because the van was “having a hard time cooling down with the summer temps”. Our mother was immediately distressed due to the high temperature within the van. After over two hours of trying to resolve the situation, the crew was distressed, and my mother was on the verge of heat stroke. The crew stated that they told their “boss” about the broken air conditioner two hours before arriving, but he said to proceed with the transport. “Phil” at United MedTrans verbally agreed to pay for a hotel for our mother and family until they were able to fix the AC issue. We spent the next 3 nights in a hotel, waiting with minimal communication for a replacement van. They advertise that “commercial medical escort nurses are there with you the whole way from start to finish” - however she was left alone in a hotel without medical equipment OR staff to tend to her medical needs. If we had any other options, we would have cancelled immediately. A replacement van did finally arrive at 3am on the 3rd night and she was transported home. After several phone calls and emails, United MedTrans has completely ignored our requests for reimbursement for the lodging expenses or even offered a simple apology for the suffering that she endured as a result of their negligence.

Stay away from this company - Phillipe and Chris. They were paid the amount they quoted. Soon after they got the money, they changed the terms of the contract and refused to give me a nurse on board and refused to give me two trained drivers saying they did not have to do it since it was in instate transport meaning within California. I immediately cancelled the contract . First they refunded me a part payment with a fake check that bounced. I hired attorney, then they sent a partial payment. I will be reporting them to the BBB and to Health and Human Services. Don't trust this company and these two characters who claim they are brothers. They do not deserve even one star, but you cannot post otherwise. See similar experience by John Frasier a few months ago.

United MedTrans was wonderful to deal with during a very stressful situation for my family. Philip executed the details exactly as promised. The crew on the van were wonderful and went with the flow when new details arose at the last minute. Jasmine kept me updated during the trip and I knew my dad was taken care of every mile. I really appreciate their professionalism.

The company took my mom from Northern Indiana to St. Louis. To be honest, we had some apprehension about my mom riding with complete strangers BUT they were great. My mom ended up being very comfortable with the crew, in particular Jasmine. Strongly recommend.

Was thrilled to find a company that offers Medical transportation for this price, they are also quite professional and on point whether it's time or quality. Good Job!
