Calypso | Restaurant & Raw Bar

Friends of ours have been sharing for several years that we should try Calypso. Today we ventured out and dined at this establishment for lunch. It was off the chart awesome. We wanted to plow through the entire menu but my spouse ordered the blackened Dolphin and I decided to try the Dolphin-Shrimp combo curry. We both remarked that we couldn't remember the last time we were so impressed with a dining experience. As I saw other dishes coming out to other guests, I couldn't help but say, "Let's come back on Friday night!" My spouse agreed so we will gather a group together and head to Calypso to explore more items on the menu. We will definitely try the Fish Dip and Conch Salad and then dive into the other tempting entrees on the menu. On another note, customer service at this restaurant is awesome. Our server, Rachel, was friendly, attentive, and helped us in our decision making. She is really a special person and we hope to see her again.

If I could give more than 5 stars for service I would. The wait staff was phenomenal. It was a busy lunch rush on a Friday and they were still super attentive, friendly, helpful, and patient. The place is way better on the inside than youd expect looking at the strip mall exterior. Everything we tried was delicious!

Rubbery, overcooked clams. The shrimp bisque was decent though. The server barked at us to move for sitting at the "wrong table"...the table the hostess sat us in. Very bizarre, rude behavior. No apologies. I was hoping at least the food would be decent but it didn't happen.
