Kasa Champet Restaurant and Lounge

Came here with my husband and son for a lunch date right before noon. Heard good things about this place and wanted to try it out. Let's just say I won't be coming back. The place was empty with only two other patrons there when we got there. We were seated within a minute of walking in and given a menu. We ordered some akra for appetizers, which was burnt with the exception of one. I ordered the kabrit (fried goat) and my husband ordered the seafood legume and we got a side of fries for my son. Food came out within seconds after putting in our order. The fried goat was mixed with beef chunks and the prion size was small. So I got a handful of fried goat mixed with beef chucks for $25 and the seafood legume didn't even taste good and I think that was $30. We both ordered white rice but the server came out with one white rice and one rice and beans. My husband kept it but it wasn't good. The white rice with the sos pwa (bean sauce) tasted better. We boxed most of it and eventually just threw it out because it started to smell after leaving the restaurant. I honestly should've just went to a regular haitian take-out restaurant that I know would deliver delicious haitian food. I honestly don't recommend.

The food is good! The servers are nice. But man.. this place desperately needs a facelift. The chairs are uncomfortable with dirty cushions. Sometimes it smells like dirty water as you enter. And the music is waaaay too loud. I shouldnt have to scream into waiters ear to give my order or talk to my date.

Great Haitian restaurant! I would recommend it anytime. Vegetarian options: I would recommend Seafood Legume for vegetarians. Very delicious, healthy and full of great nutrients.

Poor customer services, will serve you burned rice, and does not give the customer want they are willing to pay for. Profit over customer satisfaction over herego elsewhere!!!!
