Vivint Solar

Panels were installed in my home on May 28th. It's been over 4 months, and they still have not been turned on. I ended up having to continue with Duke energy all summer long. It's frustrating because their customer service department can't really answer any of my questions as far as a timeline or why it has taken so long. All I can tell is they don't seem to be very good with their paperwork and administrative services. They had to retake pictures of the installation. The county inspector had to make multiple trips to give them feedback. When Duke energy finally came out for an evaluation, they were shocked that they had already been installed for over 3 months. Just stay away from these guys and find one of their competitors for your solar panels.

I have been battling with Vivint since 2019. They caused my roof to leak and no repairs. They never activated the solar panels and I was paying for Duke & panels. Solar panels were removed but I'm still being charged for them. As of today I still have holes on my new roof - no panels - ruined my great credit and I will need to hire an attorney.

This is the worst solar company ever!!! They will sit there and lie to your face and tell oh yeah if your lights go out your panels will kick in. Uh yeah right!!! Guess what they never mentioned we needed a battery. Now we’re stuck with panels for 25 years!!!! And I asked all the questions that needed to be asked!! So much for hurricane season and having power. Nope!!! Plus you won’t get your tax deduction or whatever they call it. When you apply they’ll tell you don’t qualify!!! You call and they give you the runaround then the guy that helped us quit and went with another company geez I wonder why They’re a bunch of thieves. DONT DO IT GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE and do your research

Horrible service. It took us months to even get our solar panels installed. When they were installed it took forever for them to be turned on. Even now that they are "on" we are still paying 2 full bills: one for the solar panels and our regular power bill. Every time we call we get the runaround. I would not recommend this solar company to anyone, it has been so a horrible experience.
