I'm gonna be honest... I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. I truly only believe that people hype this place up because it's not tex-mex and it's more authentic tacos... but like that doesn't mean they're good. I ordered the taco combo with the carne asada taco and the achiote pulled pork taco. First off, the tortilla is not toasted well so it has that overly chewy, almost soggy, falling-apart texture of a corn tortilla that has not been toasted. Like love that they use corn tortillas, but you have to toast a tortilla. Also, where is this flavor that people are referring to? The meat isn't dry, and I'll give them that, but it's definitely under seasoned. The rice and beans were good and I loved the pickled onions, but that was the only part of my plate that I enjoyed. I also ordered a side of chips and queso and the street corn. The chips and queso is literally movie theater nachos. If you told me that it was Tostitos rounds and Tostitos queso blanco, I would not be surprised. The street corn had great flavor, but may have as well been a corn chowder because of how soupy it was. The service was very quick and the staff was helpful so I'm giving it 2 stars for that, but I can't see myself returning.

I just had a meal before going there so I just got a maragrita. The lime maragrita is a little too sour for my taste. Everyone else got tacos and they look delicious. Packed with meat. I'll be back to try the food soon!

I got 3 tacos. Carnitas, Carne Asada and Taco al Pastor. I also got Guacamole and Chips. My totaly came up $20 dollars. The tacos were not flavorful. Very underseasoned. The Carne asada and Taco al pastor were tough. It felt as if the meat was not freshed and was warmed up. It did not sit well with me at all. It only comes with meat, Cilantro and onions. Limes on the side. The Cilantro and onions were very scant. The chips for the guacamole felt as if they took it from one bag and put in my bag. However, the chips and guacamole were the best part of the meal. The individual who took my order was very kind and very helpful. Service was a 5. I don't think the meal was worth what I got. Wanted to come back and try something else but I don't think it's worth it.

My friend and I were venturing for a quick meal near the milk district and originally were supposed to go to the milk house but, decided to try this hole in the wall taco place instead. I'm really glad we did!! The flavors were outstanding! I got a rice bowl and my friend got some tacos but my rice bowl was the bomb! Everything is fresh fresh fresh! We even tried some of their house sauces and those weee amazing. It was a cloudy day but we decided to sit outside as their interior is not that big. It was cute out there and plenty of space to sit. I am definitely going back and trying everything on their menu. I didn't see if they served alcohol but maybe they'll even start making house margaritas:)) They were very friendly as well and brought us our food outside and took our trays when we finished. I always appreciate friendly staff.
