I gave a one-star review back when this place was lakeside and they took it off and shouldn't have since they are still the same if you care about your loved ones do not take them here. My mom has lupus kidney disease and brain lesions from all the pain she was going crazy and was wanting to kill herself her doctor called this location and had her sent here and if I would have known I would have put a stop to it. My mom waited longer than 24 hours for a bed she didn't see the doctor for almost a day and a half on top of that there were racist employees working there that wouldn't even acknowledge my mom when she was speaking to her my mom is the nicest woman and doesn't like to piss anybody off on top of that she kept getting denied medications by a rude pharmacist and if I knew her name I would state it. I'm very much tempted to Sue this place for medical negligence because when I came here back when I was 19 20 years old it was still run down and stupid. you guys should have stayed closed down and not have reopened if you care about your mental health don't go here it'll just make you more mental. I'm just saying if you don't like white people and don't like your job and don't like taking care of people maybe you should find a new job.

Someone I love , who graduated Magna Cum Laude, and has a very good respected job and 2 little kids decided to see a counselor because she was feeling very overwhelmed. That evil woman Baker Acted her.My never arrested for anything in her life was taken from her job, humiliated , in handcuffs, and taken to this 18th century evil place. It took days in this Cook County Chicago Jail nightmare of a place for a psychiatrist to see her and say " You don't belong here".....!!! No ONE BELONGS in this evil place. It is filthy with cruel staff and dangerous people are mixed with others. CLOSE THIS PLACE, Only evil people would send someone here, and only evil people work here. May they all experience the same some day.. I originally thought this was Seminole County. The Sheriff's office there, said Orange County Behavioral Health needs to document this. Once I called the Orange County Sheriff , I realized how a dungeon mental health facility exists in the county. Orange County is completely dysfunctional... It was the typical that's not our job call.... over and over. What a tragedy. One more reason not to visit Orlando parks.

Let us be clear, no one wants to go to this facility. They are ordered to go to this facility, and it shows. They dont allow phones in there so you cant see how run down and poorly maintained it is. But even that is not its real problem. The medical staff at Aspire seems to have stopped caring. there is a constant mentality of Thats someone elses department, as they constantly transfer you between stations that rarely answer when you call. Unlike regular medical institutions, you will never gain access to talk, wrote, or even know the name of your loved ones psychologist. At best, if you escalate your frustrations about the lack of communication, you will get a cal back from an assessor, whom is effectively a secretary that asks the same questions every time and can only leave notes; they are also unable to directly contact the psychiatrists. While visiting hours were from 4-6, there were days i would arrive and only be allowed to see my loved one for 20 minutes. But while i was there waiting for a loved one to complete a required evaluation, i overheard some interesting stuff, which panned out. I was told of you had insurance, they would keep you as long as they could, and if you didnt, as soon as the state money ran out, they would dump you back on the street. I personally had them ask me leading questions about my loved one, and they asked similar to the patients (is there any possibility that you could have?) And their lack of compassion was frustrating to watch. The charge nurse was dismissive of anything visitors had to say, i saw it every time. She clearly has heard enough over the years and cant be bothered, so she nods her head and placates them and promptly ignores them. Simply put, if your loved one is sent here, expect a bad time for you and them. Expect lots of tears and frustration. If you have a choice, dont choose this location. My personal experience made me believe that this facility is not intended to help your loved one; just to trap them as long as they can so they can profit off them.

Knew someone that went here because they were baker acted trying to commit suicide. When they got here they got made fun of for trying to kill themselves & couldnt believe it was a co-ed dorm. Easily could have been attacked by any man & no one would have done anything. staff doesnt care about anyone but themselves nor do they pay attention. & if you dont have proper clothes they give you paper clothes! Disgusting facility all around. My friend unfortunately took her life shortly after leaving here. She couldnt deal with the extra pain & stress from this place & she was still messed up by the man that made fun of her for trying to kill herself. I hope hes happy with himself. I wish I got his name from her.
