IATSE Local 835

Lately here in New York l am hearing so many negative stories about this local hiring hall, as a professional member of IATSE Local 52 for over 25 years l verified Local 835 as a disgrace to the IATSE l attempted to work a few months in Orlando and this people seems to have a personal problem with the New York members or they probably think we want to take their petty jobs. Are you kidding me we are just passing through and now we know what you guys think of us. If you are looking to work for few months or weeks in Florida the real IATSE is Local 477 not this little hiring halls full of unprofessionals. Attention Matthew D. Loeb you should drop the hammer on this local hiring hall, they violating the IATSE terms and rules by hiring none members before the active members.

Local 835 is just a mediocre hiring hall full of junkies putting our prestigious IATSE members on a low level... Local 835 is now facing a contract termination.

Multiple times going in the office with an over qualified resume just to get pushed out the door without giving an opportunity. This union is not like up north unions where they create an equal opportunity for all. It seems only a certain race gets top positions here.
