Waited in line over 2 hours to retrieve car blue chip means nothing

Terrible service! My flight to Orlando was shorter than the waiting to get my car at Trifty. I wish I saw the reviews before. Be prepared to wait at least 1 hour in line. This is so disrespectful! There were only 2 people working in a week day at 5pm, I cant imagine at night time. Go for another rental car!

I was at the Thrifty in Orlando Airport yesterday 3/25. Once I got to the counter, the woman agent I got stated well get you out of here very quickly, playing off the fact she knew i had waited for an hour. When she asked which additional coverage package I wanted I advised that I did not wish to purchase one as I have my own insurance coverage. She then lied and stated I HAD to get one. She then charged my card for the basic coverage package without going over any of the pricing, etc. Once I had already signed and been charged I advised I had already paid for the rental, confused as I was being charged an additional $728. She stated debit cards have a $500 deposit. Once I got to the car and was reviewing my receipt I realized that the $528 was for the additional COVERAGE she refused to go over and even though I used my debit card I was only charged a $200 deposit. I dont believe all agents are deceitful but she absolutely is. Ive read the thrifty terms and conditions and you are NOT required to have additional coverage as I suspected. Customer service advises I have to go a rental counter to have this rectified but Im no longer in the Orlando area. Im extremely upset over this interaction and am strongly requesting further assistance regarding this matter before seeking further avenues.

I've seen bad reviews on here. But our experience was very good. The line was extremely long with only 3 people but we were on the line for only about 15-20 minutes. The entire experience went smoothly. And Julie from the garage was THE BEST!!!!!!! The 5 stars is for her. She was friendly, thorough, attentive and went above and beyond. Also, returning the car was easy. We will definitely use this service again. Update 3/2023 this place can def. Have a long line. 2+ hr wait. Did it 2x in a week bc we missed our flight. Not fun. But staff was still nice. They should try to work a bit more quickly when the line is longer though. I know everyone wants the cheaper priced rentals. We discussed paying more at another company to avoid the hours of waiting time.
