Irie Diner Caribbean Restaurant

Had some of the best authentic Caribbean food to have ever graced my palette. The subtle and clean flavor from the fried conch balls paired with their pineapple dipping sauce was a great way to open up my dinning experience. The jerk chicken was marinated and grilled to perfection, rice and beans were exceptionally tender and fried plantains were moist with a satisfying crispy edge with sauce on the side to tie everything together. The service was also phenomenal with the owner greeting our table and connecting with us. Our server Kristeena provided great recommendations for dishes and complementary flavor profiles. Iries ambiance is one that is relaxing for the mind and soul. Calm earth tones paint the walls of their establishment and low volume smooth jazz and R&B play from the speakers. The crowd was calm and the staff very easy going. If youre looking for an establishment with high quality food and adequate prices this is the place to be!

We drove up from St Augustine twice this week and the food is AMAZING! We had curry chicken, oxtails and jerk chickeneverything was excellent. The best Jamaican food in Jacksonville. Period.

Ordered a delivery of jerk chicken for the wife and I got rice and BEAN. There was like three beans in the box. And no silverwear. We were at a brewery nearby. We had to just toss the food because we didnt want to eat my plain rice with my fingers. Forget this place unless you like dry rice and fingers

Such a great evening!!. The food was good and the staff Was Wonderful! Such a great place for a date for two, as well as good for families. Vegetarian options: Tofu curry

Ordered the Jerk chicken, beans and rice and cabbage. Cabbage was nothing special bland tasteless . I got a ton of rice though with a few pieces of dried out Jerk chicken laid across the top of it. Not impressed will not be back. Time to go to the next Caribbean Restaurant. I'm gonna find a good one sooner or later.... that's why it's good to read the reviews but you have to go and check out for yourself. The food was ok, but absolutely, nothing to brag or tell anyone about. Instead of Jerk chicken the menu should say Less Jerk Chicken and more rice !!! I like to add that the Jerk chicken was like eating fish with bones in it, you never know when you gonna bite down on a horrible tooth cracking bone. Horrible, out right horrible Jerk chicken !!! What a waist of my money !!!
