No information available that makes any sense. No sitting fee no approximate package prices, no date time available and no contact us to ask any questions.

She does beautiful work. She did our maternity and newborn sessions. However, she is not the most reliable. Every session we had I had to reach out to her to set them up. I bought a package of maternity, newborn, and a 6 month milestone session. If a business owner takes money from a client, it shouldn’t be the client’s responsibility to set up the sessions. She announced she was moving out of state and would contact us when she came back to do our milestone session. At almost two months past, no communication has been made. Sessions aren’t cheap and I feel like we were taken advantage of. I love her work and even considered asking her to do sessions of my little family, but because of how she runs her business, we will not be working with her again.

In mid-May, I contacted Shane Patterson with Sunshine Photography out of Orange Park and scheduled a pet photo session. We wanted professional photos since our oldest pup has had so many serious health problems this year and all of our other fur babies are well into their senior years. He had good reviews, was responsive via email and seemed very understanding and had an opening. The session itself seemed okay, minus a lack of direction/leadership during the photo shoot. He came to the house and I had to help position the pups since he did not bring the assistant that the contract he said he would bring. I also had to ask him several times what he needed from me since he did not verbally express what he wanted. He also did not try to bond with the pups before beginning, which I thought was weird. I paid for extra time, which was not utilized well. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt of being overwhelmed or tired, or maybe a creative human who isn't so great with details/organization. I expected we'd have lovely photos by mid-June and it would all be fine. It was not fine. After several weeks and multiple emails, I was finally given a link to view the "raw," unedited takes. We chose the photos for our package and I did not hear anything back. I reached out again a week or so later to confirm he received our choices and was told they'd be ready the weekend of July 19th. Since then, I have heard nothing. I have called, left voicemails, sent emails, contacted the website, you name it. I finally opened a case with my credit card company for fraud in order to try to get our money back. Depending on that outcome, I may consider filing a small claims suit. It's not so much about the money as it is about the fact that the photographer specifically knew why we were having these photos taken, came into our home, took photos of our guys knowing one of them was being tested for cancer, and then he just disappeared. It is very upsetting. I want to believe something monumental happened to result in this, because he seemed like a genuine, decent human at the time I met him. I also don't know why someone would go through all the trouble of an in-home session and bring all of their gear just to disappear afterwards. Maybe he died or is in a coma or was abducted by aliens...if so, I'd understand why the disappearing act. However, no one wants to be scammed, and that is a possibility, too. I had no contact with his wife, and cannot comment on her photography skills or reliability. In sharing this, I hope that others do not have to go through a similar situation as we did.
