What I wish I'd known before hiring them, is that MovingPlace is a vendor for Estes. MovingPlace will quote you and you'll deal with them, but the actual truck will come from Estes and after that it's almost out of MP's hands. Estes straight-up LIED to me on day of delivery, they were over FOUR HOURS LATE and I had to cover the cost of unloading crew to sit and wait, although they were generous and that helped, but that had nothing to do with Estes. Still, our stuff had to get from point A to B somehow over 1,200 miles, and we made it happen about as cost efficient as can be done. Estes hurt, but Moving Place was ok.

Best price on the market. Easy communication with the stuff. I rented 8ft of space and moved long distance (AZ to IL). The truck arrived on time, and delivered my stuff at the destination on time without issues. Just be aware that if you move to cities like SF, NYC, Chicago, etc. the freight truck might not be able to deliver directly at your home. I had to pick up the items at a storage about 30 min away, but they informed me upfront about this possible issue, so no surprises. I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for an affordable option for long distance moving!

I reached out for help with an estimate for a possible cross-country move in the future, and I had a wonderful experience. They were able to do it all over email, without a ton of specific information, and I never felt pressured to lock anything in; they were very understanding about the fact that at this time I only needed an idea. Ben Splett was the representative I worked with, and he was helpful and respectful. I'll certainly come to MovingPlace in the future should I need moving services.

Great option for moving. Good response to concerns with delivery time and early pickup of empty trailer. Price was almost half of cost of renting truck and spending time and tolls driving. Great experience. Bob S. Brick township NJ.
