        We arrived at 7:32, they came out to say they were closed. The sign said open until 8pm ??? So we didn't see the inside and no, we can't comment on the food... We were on the road for 8 hours and found the restaurant online and tried to get there early...oh well. German hospitality in America!!

        Went in for the $5 lunch, smoked brat with cold German potato salad. It was ok. Cold potato salad threw me. Hard and yuck. Ordered a Reuben to go asked for no sauce. But got sauce, they remade it and did not even compare to the first one!!! Better off going to publix and getting the boars head meat and making your own at home. $9 for that piece of crap sandwich. RIP OFF. If I could, they'd get a half of star.

        I have eaten at The Schnitzel Factory a few times over the past three years and have ALWAYS enjoyed the food and service. As a matter of fact, I was on The Schnitzel's site looking to see if they were open today when I came across these reviews. I don't usually (actually, never... this is my first one) critique restaurants online, but thought this wonderful eatery deserved a kudos. If my son and I are willing to travel to Ocala for a terrific, authentic German lunch, this place must be worth a try. I come from a family of cooks and chefs, but The Schnitzel Factory is one of my favorite casual dining places to eat.
