I would not recommend entrusting the selling of your home to Elite Auctions as in my experience, it amounts to the loss of time and money. Elite Auctions contacted my real estate agent offering to help sell my $3MM home. After collecting the $75K fee upfront, I was optimistic when the CEO and President both assured me that not only was there a very high probability of reaching the full asking price of $3.4MM but that if at any point I felt uncomfortable I had up until five minutes before the auction to back out. After two months of preparation, the auction day had come. Elite Auctions CEO and team were present at my home, along with my real estate agent. As the auction approached, it became clear that Elite Auctions were incapable of bringing in buyers who could make an acceptable offer. With ten minutes left before the auction and only three very low pre-bids, my real estate agent advised that I call the auction off. I instructed Elite Auctions to call the auction off. In the presence of everyone, the CEO strongly suggested multiple times that we move forward disregarding my reservations. With hesitation, it was finally called off but not without it being said that it was only because there were less than five buyers - which, was not the policy expressed during the initial meeting. Within minutes, the Elite Auctions team was packed and vacating my home, but not before the CEO smirked at me and said, “I just sold a $20MM home for $7MM recently.” No one from the Elite Auctions team stuck around to discuss options or strategies for future auctions. They just left. Soon after this disappointing experience, I learned that Elite Auctions had relisted my home without my consent. It wasn’t until I secured and sent a legal notice that they removed the listing. Overall, I’ve found Elite Auctions to be unprofessional and neglectful in fulfilling their responsibilities. Despite attempts to find a solution, Elite Auctions are unwilling to rectify the situation. I’m left in a bare home where I’ve sold off my treasured possessions. I’ve lost two months and must start over. And the $75K invested in selling my home has been lost along with my trust. *Additional Note to prospective clients of Elite Auctions. One month after leaving this honest and fair review, I’ve found that Elite Auctions are scrambling to reclaim their self-proclaimed prestige. In addition to losing time, money, and trust, I find myself now having to deal with their shameful tactics of public slander, as is evident in their deceitful response. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, effective, and professional company to help you sell your home, I implore you to keep looking. Otherwise, you might find yourself, as I have, being the unwilling target of their inadequacies.
