Cafe Alfredo

This restaurant ranks as one of the top 5 worst experiences of my life! The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because the food was good and the waiter (Prosecco) saved the day. I called the owner, Alfredo, 5 times and met him 3 times (from November to February) to plan my sons rehearsal dinner. Each time I had an appointment prior to the main doors being open so there was no one to let me in. At each prescheduled appt I saw Alfredo thru the windows and knocked. Each time he looked straight at me and walked away without acknowledgement. I had to walk around to another door and pound on the door until one of the cooks let me in. I would have had the dinner elsewhere but there was no other options during season. I even had an appointment with his so called “new manager” who insisted that we set up a call on a Sunday to discuss plans, and of course he never called me! The details were discussed at each meeting with assurances from Alfredo there wouldn’t be a problem. Well sure enough! He never told any of his staff (banquet waiter/chef) about the rehearsal dinner (for 22) and nothing was set up. I had a gut feeling that this would be a disaster so my daughter and i went to the restaurant (with flowers for the table) 45 minutes early. I entered through the main door and was met by Prosecco (banquet waiter) who said no one was told anything about the dinner and Alfredo was not around. Prosecco quickly set up the room, not exactly to my specifications but did as good a job as he could in such a short period of time. The dinner went off well as the food was good and no one had any idea of what happened. I was disappointed in the look of the room (disheveled), even though I brought my own flowers to brighten it up. I will say the food was good and very reasonably priced, however disorganization of the restaurant is the worse I’ve ever seen. If Alfredo wants to make this restaurant a success then he needs to hire a real manager and leave all the planning to him/her. Until then, do yourself a favor and do not plan anything at Cafe Alfredos, as the stress just isn’t worth it.

This place has superb food and the best creme brûlée I’ve ever had. Every meal I have ever had at this place has been utterly delicious. Do not believe the 1 star reviews for this restaurant. They are fakes from competing restaurants in the area.

Worst service ever! 40 minutes ..no water..50..to get a glass of wine. Been here since 6:45.. My husband had to ask for silverware..still no bread, no dinner. It's 8:16. Never again.

Friendly service. Great food. Bean soup and Fish Francese were excellent.
