Don’t return UHaul equipment here!
Not only did the attendant seem irritated that I interrupted his precious cellphone time when I went in to turn in the keys but he didn’t even bother to check fuel gauge, condition of the truck NOR did he give me a receipt for anything (we had filled up the rental right in front of him plus returned the rig). Two days later I got a call explaining that we were going to be issued late fees since nothing had been checked in yet so I explained details of the truck and events of the attempted return so they could have it documented. When I went down there to try to attain the receipt, (which UHaul also said they could do for me even though it had been a few days) so I could prove to the company I was in compliance, the woman manning the register refused to look it up or even look into it so I had to call the UHaul main office just to check in my equipment MYSELF that I had already returned 2 days ago. This is something the original attendant should have done the minute we turned over the keys to them. They are not prepared to handle any returns properly or accurately so if you try to return your UHaul vehicles, just know that you’ve been warned.
On the flip side, UHaul themselves were amazing and have already taken action to properly report this site for improper customer service so this is in no way a negative report on UHaul themselves, although this place does not make them look good. I learned to always get the receipt even if it means pissing off the attendant for what seems like “extra work” on them.
