Although, in the past, I've had responsive and helpful experiences, I have been trying to pay a premium by phone for two days. No one will call me back. I tried to access the website appearing on the statement, it was an invalid address. Uggh!

If you are wise you will exhaust every other homeowners insurance agent option available to you before contacting this company. They are very unpleasant to speak with over the phone. Especially if you happen to find rates at nearly half the cost of what their providers are offering.

They contacted me telling me my home insurance provider was dropping me, along with about a thousand others, and gave me options for a new provider. We made an agreement on which provider to go with, fast forward 2 months and I get a letter from my mortgage company telling me I don't have insurance. Marc Primanti, with AHIFL, never contacted me to inform me that our agreement was no longer valid and that I was about to be without insurance, due to a negligent error on his part. So, I'm now left without insurance until I can make other arrangements. He didn't even have to decency to inform me. When I contacted him about this issue, he said that the company I had agreed to go with stopped taking new customer mid June. Even though our last email confirming this agreement was on May 21st. He didn't even scroll up to look at our last message before making an excuse to try to cover his negligence. After writing this review, the owner of AFHI (I believe) contacted me and worked with me, and assigned another agent to me, to correct the issue. I understand employees don't treat businesses like owners would/do. My only complaint, at this point, is that the owner (I believe) kept saying "the responsibility was mine to make sure I had insurance and not theirs". I was not aware of this, and since the last conversation I had with them left me with the understanding that things were taken care of I didn't think anything more of it. I wasn't complaining of anyone accepting responsibility either. I just wanted to make sure my house was insured, so I feel the comments about that were unnecessary. All has been corrected and fixed so I'm happy, just obviously not happy about the initial issues. I know it's not really possible to oversee EVERY account, but I'm impressed with how fast they contacted me and resolved the issue after leaving this review.
