I am building a new home. I am an owner builder. I have requested bids and hired dozens of contractors for everything from concrete to electrical to window installation to roofing. . Through my “contractor” we set up an agreement with Shawn Rice for painting services for indoor and outdoor of a new home. He sent me a quote that I agreed-upon and told me it would be three weeks. Four weeks later he tells me he’s too busy and there’s other customers in front of me that he needs to get to. I hired extra laborers to make sure that all trimwork and surfaces or prepped and ready to be painted based on when I was told he would be there. I called him over six times he never once returned a phone call. I had to try to call him from other numbers so he did not recognize my number thinking he was avoiding me. I understand individuals can get behind. I understand problems arise but you must communicate with your customers. This is not just his business deal but it is part my family’s planning to complete this house! My roofer, my soffit and gutter guy, my cabinet installers, my electricians and plumbers are all waiting on this painter and he bails on me at the last minute through a text . This affects my family in such a profound way. I am highly disappointed. I don’t care how good he puts paint on a wall, his business and professional ethics are very poor. I would not recommend this company for any painting needs. Pay a few extra dollars for reliability!
