Best Western Plus Panhandle Capital Inn & Suites

Unfortunately I am forced to leave a star to write a review. I booked a room online and in error with their website the reservation was the wrong date. This was not caught until I received a text message this morning reminding me of check out. I called the hotel immediately and the lady said that Choice has errors and sends messages in error all the time. Upon further investigation it was realized that I was marked as a no show (obviously because the reservation was a day off). She stated she would have to talk to her manager and call me back regarding changing reservation to the correct day. Upon calling me back she stated I would have to call choice hotels customer service for assistance. I called choice hotels customer service and they stated the hotel shows me as checked out! So basically they knew I didnt check in but to keep my money they said I checked out this morning! Terrible customer service and shady employees!

The Hotel in my opinion does NOT live up to the Radisson standards! Its more like any other mid level hotel. Nothing special AT ALL! Like NO carpet in the room. Cold tile floors! Not even throw rugs. The location was horrible. As NO ONE Would even deliver food there. Not even UBER EATS. The rooms have a view of the parking lot, and the other side is Construction and woods. The hotel looks as if it was JUST built and not really finished. It has a pavilion ( in the parking lot) with zero privacy and reminds me of the rest areas on I95. With a gas fire pit, with an empty gas tank. Forget about eating ANYTHING while youre there! They do however have a little convienant store ( they call it) with chips and feminine products, a few drinks, and some other snacks that are RIDICULOUSLY priced! One person runs the front desk, and this so called convenience store is behind the FD. So there were about 25-30 people in the lobby and only one clerk! So FORGET that. Overall it was HORRIBLE and Ill NEVER go back! Rooms: Rooms have NO CARPET And a cheap grey tile floor! No view, nothing special about it. About equal to a holiday Inn Nearby activities: ZERO ACTIVITIES! Walkability: Nothing in walking distance AT ALL! Its on a major highway and then a LONG DIRT ROAD about 1/2 mile after you turn off the highway! Couldnt even get food delivered! Food & drinks: Forget eating! No one will even DELIVER A PIZZA here due to the location! No food whatsoever!

Our U13 soccer team was in town for the FSU tournament and this hotel was one of the few "stay to play" options we were to choose from . Not only was the entire hotel smoke ridden, we were expected to hang our own shower curtains, placed in rooms that leaked water or were filthy, an actual drug pipe was found by parents under the bed the child was sleeping in, and the cops were called by the parents and a report was filed. The cops informed our team no children should have ever been staying there. That the hotel has a reputation, and it should have never been on a list to be used by youth sports. Our team moved to another hotel after the police left, and so did other teams/families. Please don't book here. EVER. It's also important to know they charged us 133.00 a night since I see Google says it's a 44.00 a night hotel. Stay far away from this hotel.

If I could rate negative stars I would. Where do I begin? Our team stayed at this "hotel" for a soccer tournament. The rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and it was obvious that the sheets weren't cleaned. There are just too many things to list, but the most important thing to mention is that there was a crack pipe wrapped in toilet paper and shoved under the side of the mattress. The front desk did not seem concerned at all about the find. Then when the police arrived, they were in disbelief that we were directed to this "hotel" by the organization hosting the tournament. So in short, don't book here. I wouldn't even stay here if it was free.
