I have known and used Roman Cusco for many years. He did my sister's wedding and did an amazing job. I was an event planner and used him for many years on very high profile events and always said how great and affordable he was. When my wedding came around, I knew I’d choose him. He first gave me a quote for the flowers for a 350 guest wedding. The price was very affordable. I included 350 chiavari chairs and added his coordination service (which he gave me as a gift). How I wish I could return that “gift”. A month before my wedding, we had an issue with the venue so we reduced our reception to a 2-hour cocktail. We reduced the number of chiavari chairs from 350 to 100 and reduced the large centerpieces to very small cocktail arrangements. At the last minute, he charged me an additional $2,000 (the week of the wedding). For what??? Great question! I still don’t know, but I had to pay it if I wanted my flowers on my wedding day. Being a wedding planner, I was very specific in what I wanted for my bouquet. He must have used the picture I gave him as toilet paper because my bouquet looked like a hideous pageant bouquet that was so huge that I had to walk with it sideways just so that I wouldn’t cover myself with it. My bridesmaids’ arrangements were just as awful. You could see the floral tape. And his coordination service was the worst part. Had he not been “coordinating” things, everything would have gone much smoother. He didn’t help us line up for the entrance to the reception. He allowed people to put garbage on my cake table and didn’t even bother cleaning it off before my cake pictures. The BRIDE was the one to that. He didn’t set up my candy station where and when it was supposed to be setup so no one saw it, after I had spent a lot of money on that candy. He didn’t bother picking up my unity candle holders (which I never recovered) or cake knife or toasting flutes (thank God my mom remembered these). All of this is why you hire a coordinator. The bride always forgets these things since there is so much going on. He sat down the entire time of my short 2-hour cocktail reception and didn’t do a thing. I have been so upset about this that it has taken me 4 years to write a review. Had I written this right after my wedding, it would have been much worse. I’ll just have to renew my vows for my 10 year anniversary so that I redo what was supposed to be my perfect wedding.
