I've taken my dog here for over a year now and never had a complaint. As long as you go and stay there everything is perfect. Now last time I took my dog they had to sedate her so I had to leave her there the whole day, they just had to do the yearly check up plus nail trimming so the estimate was about $150. When I went to pick her up they told me the total was now $295 + the $80 deposit I had done in the morning. When we asked why the older woman at the front desk, which she is super nice, explained that the doctor had treated her ear for an infection, done some other shots (that were not talked about), prescribed pills for an 'allergy' and give her a shot for that as well, etc. I am not mad at them taking care of her and giving her everything she needs, but honestly at least call the client to tell them what's going on and see if they want to go through with all those extra things, because had I not had that extra money what would I have done? Now I had to grab money from other things that I had to pay to be able to pay the vet bill, which is super frustrating. They need to consult with their clients before actually going through with something that wasn't talked about at the beginning of a check up or anything else. And as the older woman was explaining this to my fiance when he was giving the complain, the other girl at the front desk said something about it not being their problem and to 'not worry about us', that was clearly not meant to be heard by him but he did. I'm honestly very disappointed and wouldn't have wanted to switch vets but with my other dog, the prior vet clinic we were with would call and consult everything before doing it so that you knew what you could and couldn't pay for at the moment. That's very unprofessional of this clinic and it's sad to have to look for another vet clinic because of this issue.

We've been going to Dr. Shaffer for over a year now, and I have nothing but positive things to say. I have a dog, rabbits, and many small rodents that Dr. Shaffer has treated. Adela in the front desk is always very patient and kind. Dr. Shaffer is very experienced and willing to take on any animal. He's very thorough in his explanations of what is going on with your animal. I've always felt that the prices were fair. The office doesn't have any bells or whistles, but I'm going there for the treatment not the scenary. It does usually take awhile to check out when you are done, but that's because they are usually pretty busy. Overall I'm very happy with the services I've recieved there and would definitely recommend.
