Very unprofessional security guard, bad attitude, acting tough for no reason, trying to intimidate me 2335 nw 107 av 1533, on 07/09/2020

I had an appointment at the DMV at the satellite office at the North Dade Center and I went through the security booth and forgot I had my SMOVE Gimbal Monopod (selfie stick). I had come by Uber, because I do not have a car. I approached the security, put my stuff on the conveyor belt to be scanned when "Madalyn" asked me to remove the contents from my bag. I did. She asked me about the item and I opened it up and showed her and she asked me what it was. I told her it was a Gimbal Monostick (selfie stick) even the other security guard knew what it was. She told me I could not bring it in and I asked her why? She gave me no answer other than I couldn't bring it in. I explained to her it was a monopod. I even turned it on. Again, she then told me I couldn't take it with me. I asked to speak to a manager. He basically said the same thing even though the manager knew exactly what it was. I didn't want to miss my appointment. I asked again, why I couldn't take it with me and then "Madalyn" became belligerent and loud and called the police officer over that was standing next to the exit. I asked her to stop speaking to me if she wasn't a manager. I asked her for her name and badge number and she refused to give me her badge number. Why? If a customer asks, it should be given, what does she have to hide? At this point because I didn't want to get argumentative. The manager gave me no problem, but insisted that I couldn't bring it in and the police officer told me to go hide it somewhere, but that was on me or I could put it in my car or come back another day when I didn't have it with me and I explain to him I was a film student/journalist and I carry it with me every day. I had to go and hide it outside by the pond area in the back of the building so I would not miss my appointment. This woman "Madalyn" was rude and obnoxious. I accepted the fact that I couldn't bring it in and had to place it at this rock and hoped that no one stole it. Madalyn needs to be disciplined about her nasty attitude and sent to customer service and diversity training. She was very ghetto acting and that is unprofessional of an organization that gets top dollar contracts from the County. I also informed her that I would be reporting her and she gave me attitude about that. I just smiled and left to handle my business.
