Purely Newborn Photography

Please do not use this photographer. She took our newborn photos and our full payment up front for all digital photos edited. Didn’t deliver our photos for over 6 months and went silent. Photos didn’t arrive until I contacted Help me Howard on the local news, at which point after Howard’s team called, she sent them unedited with a promise to edit. Never edited them. Disappeared again. Exceptionally unprofessional experience.

Back when I contacted Karen, none of the awful reviews existed, they were mostly 5 stars. My child was born and photographed in 2015. My story bears resemblance to most reviews below but mine also involves an extortion twist, where she reached out to me and threatened to delete the photos if I didn’t order them by a certain date. I immediately paid $600 for 30 edited images in fear of them being erased forever. I never received edited images and it wasn’t until we threatened with a lawsuit that we got an email with the unedited pictures two years later. The only thing that I consistently received was countless excuses and promises during the one year that I relentlessly begged her to give me what I paid for.

My daughter is 20 months old, and we have not received her photos from 1 week old. I wanted to send out announcements, then thought I could use them for Christmas cards, then her first birthday came and nothing!!! I deeply regret not reading reviews first. At one point the proofs were available unedited, but I couldn’t download them and they were watermarked. I did get through to Karen on the phone a few times in my numerous attepts, and she gave me many different excuses. I will point out, she spent a lot of her time taking the photos and seemed to be doing a great job when she did. Essentially she stole my money yet put in the time, which is bizarre! Please do not go through what I did, or you’ll be left heartbroken you did not get any photos and wasted your time you could have spent with your newborn and a lot of money you will never see again.

Stay away! She steals from families!! Please refrain from using Purely Newborn. She steals from families! Three years after we paid for a very expensive package and completed our daugther's newborn session she still hasnt delivered the Artbook, which is valued at $1000.00 in her price list. Thousands of phone calls and texts and Promise after promise and no artbook (the album of the photo session). I paid $2,400 for the package and i got the complete digital pictures just two months a go, but no Artbook as of Today. Stay away from her as she gets your money and doesnt give you anything. If you want to have tangible memories, the run the other way. No professionalism whatsoever as she hides behind all types of personal issues to keep you waiting.

Awful experience and very unprofessional. I won't talk about the quality of her work because I haven't gotten my pictures and my baby was born 7 months ago. However, I will say I have all but begged to get my pictures and there is always an excuse. I gave up on the pictures at this point and just want my money back. Haven't gotten that either...just so I can share a little of the unprofessionalism she came to my home with her daughter and I had to babysit her while she worked...hope that gives you some perspective. Buyer beware, do not use.
