This office is atrocious. They have no respect for patients. Waiting over an hour and not answering phone calls during normal business hours is the regular business in this office. I’ve been taking the same medication for over an year and it’s taking me over 6 calls (1 hour each) to get a simple refill. Receptionists lied that the prescription was sent and I’ll be going in my second consecutive week without my medication because of how poor their service is. Went by today, June 22nd, to pick up samples in order not to miss another dosage of the medication and to request that they fix my account for 2 improper co-pays they are improperly trying to bill me for (had to return to get a shot because couldn’t wait any longer after 1 1/2 hours). The office manager told me to leave because she was calling the cops after I told her she was incompetent for not answering phones during business hours and taking 2 weeks to handle a simple refill. To my surprise I had a police officer calling me from the front of my home about 2 hours after I had left the office to tell me I am forbidden to return to the office. This is Medical Abandonment and a blatant HIPAA violation since they should not be giving out my name, phone number and address to anyone without my permission, a warrant or subpoena. I’ll be filing a complaint with the Florida board of medicine and looking for an attorney to handle the civil implications of the HIPAA violation.
