My passport is stuck at this agency. My locator number indicates I should have recived my passport a week ago.
Ive tried calling the passport line at least a dozen times as well as attempting mitigate the issue with USPS. The passport agency websites states you can acquire an appointment within 14 days of travel, but when Ive spoken with a representative(s) they state that it must be within 5 days of travel. Im supposed to be leaving for an international trip on June 30th.
Theres no direct number to this agency in Miami, only the customer service line.
My only last hope is to reach out to my congressman in NY and see if he can do anything to expedite this.
From what Ive gathered, Im one of many in this situation or one similar. What a shame that The Department of State is putting tax paying citizens in these situations. Shame on them, this system must be fixed.

Impossible to get anyone to pick up phone. Ive called dozens of times during business hours and its a busy signal most of the time, and then occasionally a message that says call back later. Then its back to the busy signal. This is how our federal tax dollars are being spent on needed services, ignoring us.
