All of this occurred at our destination in Naples, so we were directed there for customer service. At that time we were treated with disgust and promptly downgraded for the remainder of our trip. Hours of our anniversary vacation wasted only to end up in a junk rental. Well done Hertz

My family reserved - and paid in full for - a car months in advance. It was not available. NO CAR that would fit us was available. We waited well over an hour in the Miami airport/parking lot, and ultimately ended up in a line in the garage with everyone else (who also found themselves unable to rent the car they had secured) in a line like a taxi line, where whoever was first was offered whatever car was returned next. What a disaster. It wasn't how we planned to spend our first afternoon of vacation. Hertz' customer service proved to be as effective at its reservation system. It was a complete disappointment.
