We made it to this restaurant for a late lunch around 2:45 pm, we were getting ready to seat in a table when a man shouting out loud saying "TO GO, TO GO!!!" I honestly thought he was asking me if I wanted my food to go or dine in, but then we realized we were not very welcome to this place. We went to the cashier, she was an older Cuban lady, very nice and asked me for here or to go? And I replied he said to go and she said if he says so then is to go. Very awkward situation, only stayed because we were so hungry! The food was very good, the portions were generous, we had enough food for 2 meals, prices very reasonable for the area.

Wow. If you are stuck in mid- or north Miami Beach and looking for something other than overpriced hotel restaurant food, try out this gem of an authentic Cuban kitchen. Yes, if busy the service may be slow, and the hostess doesn't speak much English, but the food is thoughtfully prepared, delicious and reasonably priced for what and where it is located. (My wife and I also had the chicken breast with Creole shrimp and it was fantastic. The chicken soup was hearty and tostones and maduros were both great.). Understand where you are and what this place is and be thankful you found your way here.

Cosy, hidden restaurant, but we got there Thanks to Google maps. Lovely place, intimate with friendly waitress. Nice, delicate food with good taste. I had the best risotto! I strongly recommand this place.
