Moving is costly and stressful, when you arrange a move the quoted price is part of a number of expenses so you depend on the experts. This is why I insist on having an on site walk through and a binding estimate which protects from cost overruns. I chose Coleman/ Allied out of three comparable providers even though my quote was a little higher. I signed the agreement with the understanding that I was paying ~$800 more. This decision was primarily because of my experience with Allied in past moves. I signed the agreement yesterday only to get a call today from my relocation consultant saying that the order was "kicked back" and the total was "a little higher", a little higher turned out to be $1062 additional fees in the quote. This is after an agreement was created and signed off on. I do not understand how a firm can do a walk through, offer a binding estimate, come to an agreement and then simply increase it by nearly 10%. This is not a good look and I expected more form this company. The experience is a combination of disappointment and relief. If this company can arbitrarily change quotes I can only imagine how the actual move would have went.

Allied Van lines went above and beyond with my move. Since I moved from country to country there was extra paperwork and they walked me through it all! I was so thankful for their expertise and help with everything!! I would definitely recommend them to everyone.
