I've been here a few times now. It's close to my parent's house, so it's definitely convenient. Both times have been on the weekend and we had reservations both times. I had to park all the way around back, but that's because the parking lot is small, so no big deal. The food is good. I had the veal parmesan and then the chicken marsala. The reason that I did not give this place 5 stars is because both times the food took forever to come out. It was so slow the second time that we joked with the waiter - Antonio - that we would help out in the kitchen. We also joked about ordering a pizza from somewhere else and having it delivered to our table in the restaurant. I guess if you have no where to go, don't mind waiting over an hour for your food, and having your butt go numb for sitting so long on hard wooden chairs, then this place is perfecto. I'm sure I'll be back simply because my parents love this place and it's so close to their house. I'll just carve out several hours and bring a seat cushion with me.

OK. So my wife and I went for our anniversary (a day late). We had a reservation and were seated a few minutes early. Everything seemed nice. However, this is when things seemed to start. After seating it took 20-30 minutes for our server to come to the table, another couple seated after us had their server there almost immediately. The order was taken with our drinks. My wife asked for lemon for her water. The server disappeared for another 30 minutes, when I saw the server again I had to remind them about lemon. It took almost another hour to get the food. My chicken parm was excellent, but my wife's lasagna was too salty. Even my son at home with the leftover lasagna said too salty. After we were done it took server another 20-30 minutes to come ask about dessert. We ordered with check. Now this was the ONLY time server was back quickly, to get my card to pay the check. I have to note that the bussers were amazing. Constantly checking and doing stuff. I did notice that the servers were way more attentive and quick to respond to some folks rather than most. Guessing regulars, but that doesn't excuse. At the end of the day I have to recommend Via Italia way more than Villaggio's....by far...
